I have worked with several breeders that have had several freak accidents happen to their puppies shortly after going home, including broken bones from being dropped, eating socks, or illnesses like Parvo or Giardia. Thankfully, I have not had to deal with illnesses like that in my house or with my puppies, but you can never be too careful and unfortunately, it can happen to the best of us.
